Scott Johnson - John Somebody

'Lo. Here are two tracks from composer Scott Johnson - the first from his '82 work John Somebody which consists of a recording of a woman saying "You know who's in New York? You remember that guy... J-John somebody? He was a-- he was sort of a--...", cut up so that melodies are created.

The second bit is from the same time and is the same kind of deal, this time a woman laughing.

Fun fact: I have a real weakness for manipulated human voices, for some dark, dark reason. Another fun fact: The guitar bits in these tracks remind me of the guitar sound on Slint's Tweez. Strange.
