Terry Reid

terry reid was apparently a pop singer and then one day, all of a sudden, he figured out how to completely rock.

and it seems like he figured this out halfway through his debut album. it starts off pretty samey - a cover, some pop songs. not bad just not great. then, hang on a second, two ten-minute jams? what? yes! just check out the last six songs off this anthology album and that's really all you need. i wish this WAS the album because it is much better like this.

trust me - one day, all of a sudden, you will figure out that this completely rocks. for fans of: free, 13th floor elevators, led zeppelin.

Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)

"Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)" is the name of a song written by Sonny Bono. In 1966, Cher released it as the second single from the album The Sonny Side of Cher. Nancy Sinatra later covered the song in 1967.

Also in 1967, Nancy Sinatra released her version of the song on her album How Does That Grab You?. This version remained relatively obscure until it was used in the opening scenes of the 2003 movie Kill Bill Volume 1.

The Golding Instituted - Final Relaxation

brilliant and hilarious parody of self-hypnosis/relaxation records by gregg turkington (neil hamburger).

ps - please do not attempt to do the things the voice is describing.

Send No Flowers - Playing For Time

nice post-punk 80's number replete with out of tune bass and weird chirpy vocalizing.

the other songs from this 7" are pretty good too so here they are:
