Songs Killdozer Covered

since the Songs Mudhoney Taught Us compilation went over so well, i thought i'd do the same treatment with another superb band: Madison, Wisconsin's own Killdozer.  well, i doubt if killdozer taught us any of these songs, but they certainly covered them all.

killdozer, one of my very favorite bands, was infamous for their covers...  it's like sticking a song through a killdozer meat grinder and always coming out the other end with a perfect ground beef killdozer burger.

this is a pretty eclectic group of songs.  mostly classic rock songs, but also pop and country.  and almost all radio hits.  it wasn't a coincidence that they chose a lot of very famous popular songs to do, it perfectly reflects the humor and sensibility of the band.  also, i'd say their cover versions ranged from being as good as to far better than any of the originals.

they did so many covers over their illustrious career that i split it up into two discs:

disc 1
disc 2

disc 1:
1. AC/DC - Let Me Put My Love Into You (4:15)
2. Elvis Presley - Burning Love (2:51)
3. Deep Purple - Hush (4:25)
4. Buffalo Springfield - Mr. Soul (Neil Young, 1967) (2:52)
5. The James Gang - Funk #49 (4:05)
6. Lee Hazlewood - Pour Man (3:32)
7. Creedence Clearwater Revival - Run Through the Jungle (3:06)
8. Coven - One Tin Soldier (The Legend of Billy Jack) (3:09)
9. Procol Harum - Conquistador (2:38)
10. Black Sabbath - Evil Woman Don't Play Your Games with Me (with Horns & Flute Version) (3:47)
11. Bad Company - Good Lovin' Gone Bad (3:37)
12. Neil Young & Crazy Horse - Cinnamon Girl (3:00)
13. Conway Twitty - You've Never Been This Far Before (3:01)
14. Neil Diamond - I Am ... I Said (3:34)
15. Steve Miller Band - Take The Money And Run (2:52)
 disc 2:
1. Hank Williams - I Saw The Light (2:44)
